Welcome to Ladder Safety Training

page 1

Whether at work or at home, ladders are one of the easiest and most effective tools each one of us can use. Every day, someone uses a ladder to perform the simplest of tasks - from changing a light bulb to hanging a picture. However, ladders are also responsible for many preventable accidents. According to the National Safety Council, accidents involving ladders cause nearly 400 deaths and 130,000 injuries each year in the United States.

The primary hazard when using a ladder is falling. Every precaution must be taken so as to prevent a fall from a ladder.

This training presentation is designed to cover the most basic ladder safety guidelines. Following these guidelines will establish safe work habits and your life may depend on it. Practicing ladder safety every time you climb will make your work easier, faster and safer.
