Welcome to Formaldehyde Awareness Training page 1 This formaldehyde awareness training is intended to provide information on the properties of formaldehyde and offer suggestions on its safe use. The information contained herein is designed to give UNLV employees sufficient information and training to prevent unnecessary exposure to formaldehyde. This training also satisfies the training requirements dictated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Formaldehyde Standard found in 29 CFR 1910.1048. UNLV strives to provide safe and healthy working conditions for all employees. Therefore, it is important to understand the hazards associated with formaldehyde and prepare to identify the necessary steps to prevent exposure.
