General Liability:

UNLV, CSN, and NSC is a state institution and considered a sovereign entity with all of the protections as provided under NRS 41. NRS 41 covers NSHE entities and its employees, either past or present from general liability exposures. There are some qualifiers like employees needed to be performing their normal job duties at the time of the potential loss. NSHE is self-insured for this loss exposure. The self-insured fund is charged back to the entities based on a rate per Full Time Employee (FTE).

Vehicle Insurance:

Auto liability is generally covered as indicated in the section of general liability mentioned above. NRS 41 applies to Auto Liability in the same manner. UNLV, CSN, and NSC is self-insured and the maximum liability is $75,000. There is a charge per vehicle rate to the specific NSHE entities.

Auto Property Damage coverage is for all state owned vehicles. The vehicles could be automobiles, carts, or any motor powered vehicle.
