INSURANCE ADMINISTRATION

The Risk Management & Safety Department is responsible for protecting the welfare of students, staff, patrons, and assets of UNLV, CSN, and NSC from risks and financial loss. To accomplish these tasks, RMS coordinates with other departments to insure risks are identified, a risk analysis is completed, develop and select the most appropriate technique to control and / or transfer the risk and provide risk administration.

Other Services:

• Collaborates with the Nevada System of Higher Education Risk Management Department to ensure UNLV, CSN, and NSC obtain the most efficient and cost effective means of protecting the university from potential loss exposures.
• Reviews contracts to verify insurance compliance with university and NSHE policies and procedures.
• Facilitates liability and administers property / auto claims.
