Hazardous Materials Shipping and Transportation

The shipment of hazardous materials is regulated by the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) as specified in 49CFR. Hazardous materials may be chemical, biological or radioactive in nature.

Employees who offer hazardous materials of any type must be properly trained to do so. Training is offered at no charge to UNLV faculty and staff if it is applicable to the individual job responsibility.
