Environmental Regulations
Chemicals and other hazardous materials are regulated by a number of different agencies, at Federal, State and local levels. Congress mandated the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to re authorize environmental regulations previously published. In 1984 the EPA released the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). The State of Nevada, Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) is the agency which is authorized to enforce these regulations, and regulations that they write.
